General Information:The Harbor Beach Marriott Resort and Spa is tucked away on 16 sun-drenched oceanfront acres, currently undergoing a facelift to ensure its position as Fort Lauderdale's preeminent resort.Rooms:Resort guests are now enjoying the latest technological enhancement to accommodations at Harbor Beach – the installation of 32-inch flat screen televisions in all of its rooms and suites. The sleek TVs sit atop polished granite tops of roomy dressers. This, along with Marriott’s new European-style Revive® bedding, imbues guest rooms with a clean, comfortable and open feel.Area:Greater Fort Lauderdale is without question an outdoor lover's paradise, with 23 miles of wide, sandy beaches and over 300 miles of navigable waterways luring visitors with activities of every kind. This Venice of America affords an abundance of opportunities to get out and enjoy nature at its finest. The renovation takes place Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm.*****As of September 2006, all Marriott International, Inc. lodging brands in the United States and Canada will be 100% smoke free.*****Hotel is going renovations 10,000 square foot ballroom and re do of poolside restaurant and lounge. We will break ground on the new Ballroom August 4th, 2008 as well as the Ocean View terrace. The Ballroom will not be completed until November 2009. The terrace will be completed by December 5th, 2008. The new meeting space will be located on the North side of our existing terrace. Please note that all beach seating and pool scating is away from this area. Poolside will be begin January 10th, 2009 and will not be completed until December 2009. This will have the most impacet on guests since it will affect the pool area. The pool will remain open and the bar/restaurant relocated to another area so the guests will still be able to enjoy drinks and food while outside.**
